Sina Jeep

Hello, I am Sina.

When I was a child I had a very clear picture of my future: I wanted to become a nature protector. Why? Because it seemed like the most useful „profession“ in the world to me, and this feeling came straight from my heart.

Time passed, I went to school and afterwards decided to study at university like most of my class mates. After 1½ years I quit. I was not happy with myself, nor with just sitting in a classroom all day, only thinking and discussing about things which actually felt totally irrelavent to me. I started searching. The only thing I felt sure about was that I wanted to use my hands.

One thing that attracted me a lot were medicinal plants. I started looking at plants that were growing around my home town, picking them and hanging them up for drying in my parents‘ attic. Half a year later I left my home to travel, my very first stop was an ecological center in France, called ECOlonie where I ended up staying for almost two years, mainly working in the herb garden, getting to know a lot of different plants and looking up all the information I could find on them.

The next years were filled with travelling, visiting different projects, farms and communities together with my partner whom I had met at ECOlonie. All the time discussing and brainstorming how we could set up our own community eventually.

By now I’ve completed a course in Traditional Herbal Medicine and am still busy finishing my studies to become „Heilpraktiker“ (Natural Holistic Practitioner). I love plants, and when I see a familiar herb growing somewhere it feels like I’m greeting a friend. I like to study them on different levels, including scientific but also spiritual aspects and it is my belief that health/illness should also be looked at from this holistic point of view.

In joining Which?Garden I hope to create a place where we can connect with nature again. A place where we can learn from each other and support each other on our individual paths. A place where we can raise our children close to nature and among other children. A place where we can learn how to live a sustainable life.
